Role Responsibilities
  • Support the team in maximizing customer profitability from CCIB relationship by providing innovative and value-added ship financing analysis while at the same time reducing the risk to the bank.
  • Supporting deal team leads in end-to-end origination (new and existing clients) to execution including pitching, due diligence (analysis on transaction background, structure and creditworthiness of relevant counterparties), financial modelling, preparation and presentation of information memoranda, business credit applications, supporting documentation and execution of transactions to reach financial close.
  • Transactions could include advisory and industry analytics where work scope would extend to industry research, analysis of company financials, preparation of pitchbooks and coordinating investor feedback, managing third party consultants, etc.
  • Assist in the generation of ideas to addressing internal or client challenges.
  • Support the strategic development of the business which includes management and execution of ad-hoc projects. This could include the development of sustainable shipping finance and supporting analytics on risk framework.
  • Maintain industry and transaction stakeholders network as well as close partnerships with internal stakeholders such as Credit, Legal, Compliance, other business teams (coverage, financial markets, debt capital markets) to assist deal team leads to enhance cross sell.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5 Years of experience in executing shipping transactions
  • Experience in Credit Analysis and Financial Modelling
  • University graduate with excellent command of written and spoken English, any other language widely spoken in ASEAN / South Asia or an additional language ability.
  • Strong analytical problem solving and communications skill.
  • Experience working on ship / asset financing transactions and strong credit analysis.
  • Financial analysis and modelling aptitude.
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Imaginative and creative mindset, but also an analytical and practical attitude.
  • Comfortable to work in a relatively unstructured, project-based, multi-product and multi-cultural environment.
