Data Platform & Solutions ensures that all portfolio information necessary for the investment management process is complete, accurate, timely and effectively controlled using the latest technology and tools, serving all BlackRock businesses.

The Business Partner Team is the primary interface to Blackrock business units for service strategy, service level management, and client relationship management. Each business partner covers an internal or external business segment. Business partners understand the objectives of the business area they represent and what the Data Platform & Solutions organization is doing to meet those objectives. They represent Data Platform & Solutions in service reviews, issues, and other business-facing discussions. They also help create artifacts and tools that provide a client-accessible transformation narrative, transparency into service metrics, and the status of relevant projects.

This role requires active partner management with internal and external parties as well as assisting in delivering on the vision for Data & AI. The candidate will be required to advocate the use of technology to craft innovative solutions to assist the Global Data & AI team to manage the business activities of a changing workplace.
Responsibilities:
  • Engage business partners in ongoing dialogue about their service needs and Data Platform & Service initiatives
  • Conduct regular service reviews, based on defined SLAs, and provide updates on matters of concern
  • Partner with User Support to understand service levels and improvement opportunities, and provide updates to partners
  • Provide feedback to Data Platform & Solutions functions and initiatives on client priorities
  • Identify non-standard client functionality that should be rationalized
  • Serve as point of escalation where required for significant issues / events
  • Flag major business change that does (or could have) significant impact on Data Platform & Solutions
Knowledge/Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services with exposure to business, middle office, or operations functions
  • Working knowledge of asset and risk management across a reasonable subset of fixed income, equities, derivatives, and alternatives
  • Ability to flexibly balance priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong financial and quantitative abilities with attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to clients
  • Exposure to agile methodology, data management, or service management, a plus
  • Exposure to asset management systems, preferably Aladdin, a plus
  • Masters degree in a quantitative discipline, a plus

Our hybrid work model
