About the Department
UOB Private Bank is dedicated to managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals with investment assets of $5 million and above. Keeping in mind our clients' financial objectives, we provide tailored products and solutions that draw on the Group's comprehensive suite of personal, business and investment services.
We are looking for an experienced Business Strategist to shape Private Bank's long-term strategy and this person will develop measures that realise our business objectives. The Business Strategist will be tasked with assessing organisational performance, developing achievable goals and implementing processes that improve organisational effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support and develops the analytics capabilities for the Group Retail Private Wealth function
  • Builds and manages effective Management Information (MI) that generates dynamic metrics and insights from analytics
  • Analyze macro and micro data (structured / less structured) to answer business questions
  • Communicates and facilitates the understanding of analytics insights by the relevant parties to enable efficient management of portfolio
  • Manage delivery of analytical solutions including dashboards to help businesses leverage their internal data assets for strategic decision making. Hands-on development of data assets/models and visualizations may be required
  • To assist with market specific portfolio deep dive analysis
  • Produce monthly market portfolio dashboards for all SCAs, teams, market
  • Track regional referrals and production of monthly regional acquisition / referral dashboard
  • To assist with development and rollout of PB analytics projects
  • Half-yearly account planning with Market Heads to improve profitability of RM portfolios
  • Assist with Hidden Gems identification and rollout of action plan
  • Prepares timely and accurate MI to present to senior management (Head SSM)
  • Apply database tools and statistical predictive models by analyzing datasets and derive insights using a strategic lens
  • Implement automation in data compilation for analysis use in management meetings
  • Maintain Client-to-SCA allocation model (leads referral distribution model) and work on enhancement to existing model and rollout version 2.0


Job Requirements
  • A recognized degree in Computer Science, IT or Data-related fields
  • 5-6 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis or data analytics roles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems
  • Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience or exposure to wealth management, deposits domain. • Self-starter, good communication and presentation skill.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) to deliver insights to senior management and stakeholders
  • Deep dive into data to find answers to yet unknown questions and have a natural desire to go beneath the surface of a problem.
  • Ask relevant questions and possess the skills to build algorithms necessary to find meaningful answers.
  • Motivated and driven, able to work independently and a good team player as part of a multidisciplinary team
