Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. In an increasingly borderless world marked by burgeoning trade flow, expertise in trade finance services is an invaluable asset. With cash the lifeblood of every company, so too, is a good understanding of how to manage these cashflows. Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.

Responsibilities
  • As a product manager, drive commercialisation to achieve exponential trade fee revenue growth for Banker's Guarantees and SBLCs.
  • Deliver and execute key deliverables - Doc Trade strategy, product road-map, marketing plans and value proposition for BGs and SBLCs in Singapore and across the region.
  • Manage the product risk proactively to ensure that the book remains healthy.
  • Lead engagement with in-country product and sales teams across the region to identify revenue growth opportunities / trends to ensure successful implementation of product strategy, leading to incremental growth for the doc trade business
  • Be an advocate for digital first. Identify digital opportunities for the product, build business case and work with tech to implement solutions, leading to superior customer experience; keep abreast on digital innovations and disruptions in the Trade Finance environment / landscape to recommend new solutions in response to the changing market and customers' needs
  • Work closely with Operations to deliver superior customer experience and impeccable customer service. Identify gaps and opportunities to streamline internal processes and procedures.
  • Identify quality leads to increase wallet share from our customers and also new to bank customers.
  • Leverage our network capabilities and agent bank network to deliver seamless customer service for our clients; work with sales and RMs to further develop the agent bank network.
  • Focus on sustainability and identify opportunities to grow the trade portfolio in this space.
  • Be a champion for DDOM - strong ability to drive success through data and develop insights on business to derive cross sell opportunities;
  • Track business progress timely and effectively; identify and recommend action plans to realise pipelines.
Requirements
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently; excel as an individual as well as being a team player in achieving the common goals/targets of the Doc Trade team as well as of the overall Trade Finance business
  • University Degree with at least 7 to 10 years of working experience (of which at least 5 years in Trade Finance) relating to strategic and analytical aspect of a business
  • Experience working at cross-functional team and exposure to key geographies in Asia
  • Ability to think big, conceptualize and execute end-to-end strategic initiatives independently.
  • Results-oriented and proactive in identifying and developing business opportunities
  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Familiarity in digital/data analytics and keen interest on its implications to the trade finance industry and trends will be an added advantage.
