About the Role
We are seeking a Portfolio Implementation Analyst to join the Equity Portfolio Implementation Team within InvesTech. In this role the individual will work with our global team of Portfolio Analysts in support of our Investment Boutique and Research platforms on trade implementation, cash management, account transitions, portfolio monitoring and additional portfolio implementation related services. This position would be located in Singapore

About the Role
We are seeking a Portfolio Implementation Analyst to join the Equity Portfolio Implementation Team within InvesTech. In this role the individual will work with our global team of Portfolio Analysts in support of our Investment Boutique and Research platforms on trade implementation, cash management, account transitions, portfolio monitoring and additional portfolio implementation related services. This position would be located in Singapore
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
- Work with the investment teams and traders to ensure timely and accurate implementation of investment strategies across client portfolios. Functions may include cash monitoring, investing and divesting cash flows, equitization, portfolio construction, monitoring asset exposures and allocations, managing client specific requests, addressing pre-trade client guideline warnings and exception resolution.
- Interface with groups across the firm, including InvesTech, Client Group, IPFS, Investment Research, Investment Boutique and Securities Law, on issues relating to new account setup, transitions, market openings, security set-up, product integrity and equity offerings
- Provide additional value-added contributions to investment teams on a customized basis, such as risk analysis, hedging recommendation, detailed portfolio data reporting and analysis, exposure tracking, and custom portfolio management solutions.
- Work with Investment Technology on the development of and enhancements to investment implementation and monitoring tools
The successful candidate for this position is likely to have:
- Tertiary qualified in a scientific degree such as Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Science, Computer Science, Mathematics and Engineering.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to remain focused on different portfolios and activities
- The ability to work independently and to contribute as part of a team
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver high standard of work under pressure of tight deadline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Keen interest in financial markets, industry regulations and portfolio management
- Ability to think holistically, understand end to end processes and reconsider the status quo
- A proactive and inquisitive approach toward new challenges and problem solving
- Self starter with the ability to think creatively and laterally
- Creativity and initiative to develop projects that can lead to better implementation of strategies and trades, and understanding of portfolio risk and positioning
- Solid understanding of global securities, including equities, bonds, currency, and derivatives
- Ability to communicate and strategize effectively with investment teams and other internal groups regarding portfolio issues
- A willingness and flexibility to work outside of normal business hours on occasion, including shifting work hours to help cover part of the Europe trading day and covering some Asia holidays
- Technical and coding skills such as Python are highly valued. Familiarity with market data tools like Bloomberg and Factset.
- Familiarity with trading systems, and/or investment risk systems is a plus
- A minimum of 3 years in the investment management business, with trading, portfolio analysis and/or investment operations/administration experience preferred. An advanced degree, CFA designation or progress towards CFA is a plus
