Reporting to the VP, this role will be focused on examining strategic issues impacting the Group and its future.

You will drive the Group annual strategy reviews (forecasting and planning); performance measurement and analytics; financial/portfolio impact analyses from changing market conditions. The candidate will be required to work closely with all business units, Group functions and manage stakeholders. You will be adding value by helping to generate actionable insights that deliver value to stakeholders. This role provides exposure to real estate across asset classes and geographies, and analytics in a business context and provides interaction with senior management.
  • Take an active role in the Group's strategy and planning review through collaboration with all business units and key Group functions
  • Collaborate with Group Research and supporting the annual capital allocation exercise
  • Review of the Group's 5-year budget and forecast and provide insightful analysis. This would include portfolio analyses and generating reports to be presented and approved
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Group's annual management and board strategy discussions and leadership conferences.
  • Provide analysis of financial and portfolio impact to Group due to market conditions, significant business activities as well as recent and possible future market developments. Prepare reports that captures key business implication succinctly and develop recommendations where relevant (backed by quantitative and qualitative analyses)
  • Involve in performance measurement across the Group, understand the underlying drivers and develop meaningful insights
  • Review material investment proposals and highlight material issues and implications
  • Contribute to ad-hoc reviews, framework development and group wide initiatives

  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Real Estate, Business or Finance
  • At least 6-8 years experience working in an investment unit in a fund, consultancy or corporate with direct real estate investment experience across multiple sectors/geographies
  • Prior experience in business planning, corporate development, finance/management or strategy consulting would be considered
  • Strong team player who is intelligent, curious and driven
  • Able to perform under tight deadline and thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills in a culturally diverse environment
  • Effective verbal and visual communication skills - able to clearly articulate complex topics in a simple manner
  • Familiarity with accounting rules - being able to understand financial statements is a bonus
  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualisation skills will be favourably considerered
