The Role Responsibilities
Regulatory Interpretation Advisory

  • Weekly scanning of latest regulatory developments to ensure internal policies/standards/IRB model development checklists are up-to-date and make timely escalation to the relevant teams;
  • Support regulatory engagement on regulator/industry related consultations.
  • Participate in regulatory projects and provide guidance to the project team where interpretation of requirement is required.
  • Act as central point of contact for regulatory interpretation advisory and tracking and addressing user queries in a timely manner.
  • Develop Regulatory Interpretations for the application of regulatory requirements on a prospective basis across groups of transactions and portfolios.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and guidelines to identify cases where existing RWA opinions should be revised or new RWA opinions should be prepared.
  • Review and challenge RIF papers within the scope of the FRRRP.
  • Maintain the Knowledge Based (KB) site and keep the information up to date.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5 or more years of experience in regulatory and compliance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to details
  • Effective presentation and business engagement skills at senior executive level
  • Able to manage a diverse group of stakeholders
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Domain knowledge on UK CRR and Basel 3.1.
  • Good understanding of the latest regulatory development.
  • Familiar with credit risk, risk mitigation, large exposure and leverage ratio.
