We Offer
Our Program is a 10-week summer internship designed to give highly students a taste of life at the world's leading integrated Wealth Manager and Investment Bank, with the potential to join the Full-Time Program upon graduation. At the end of the Summer, offers are made to interns who we believe will be successful as full-time analysts with the Hong Kong / Singapore Quantitative Analysis & Technology team.

Your future colleagues

Quant Engineering

The Quant Engineering team's responsibilities are to drive the strategic direction and develop the quantitative analytics library, pricing platforms and core risk engine. These are essential for the firm's capabilities in trading and risk managing derivative products.

The team sits on the trading floor and works closely with the quant modelers, IT, control functions and trading desk.

Quantitative developers have a wide range of responsibilities:
  • Building cutting edge components within the analytics library
  • Improving the efficiency of the library to deliver more responsive analytics to the business and clients
  • Designing the software architecture and improving software development processes
  • Creating tools to improve productivity of the global Quant community

Quant Strategies

The Quantitative Strategies Group at Credit Suisse is a modeling, analytics and trading risk group. Our directive is to work as a coordinated part of the trading teams to develop and deliver: pricing models; risk analytics; trader tools for risk management, hedging, and relative value; electronic market making analytics; management tools and techniques used to optimize trading decisions across the Investment Bank portfolio risks and capital; market risk models used for capital. The group is organized along business lines and sits with the trading desks.

The role entails, developing and implementing the analytics that are used in pricing and risk management, of the firm's portfolio of securities. You will support the trading desk in using the analytics and in performing quantitative analysis.

The quant group is an integral part of the Trading team as well as a key contributor to the global modelling initiative, offering maximum interaction with traders, sales and structurers.

You Offer

To apply for the summer program, you should be / have
  • Bachelors, Master's or PhD in highly quantitative fields such as (Applied) Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, graduating between December 2023 - June 2024
  • Strong programming skills: C#, or C , with skills in F# and Python
  • Strong skills in software design and architecture, good to have but not required - applied within the analytics library of a front office team
  • Pragmatic and result-oriented with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An interest in finance and mathematical concepts, particularly calculus and probability theory
  • Strong aptitude for teamwork and ability to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge / experience in the financial sector or past internships in a Derivatives related environment is helpful
