Overview of Division/Department

Our Global Strategic Advisory Department is primarily responsible for providing foreign direct investment support and advisory services to our customers in the Asia and Oceania region. We work closely with the front office to support both Japanese and Non-Japanese corporate clients' strategic business development, such as new overseas market entry, joint venture formations, M&A origination, business partnerships and restructuring. We also engage in market analysis, providing insight and data reports for our clientele on a regular as well as adhoc basis.

Job Responsibilities
(Internal Corporate Title: Manager)
Your key roles & responsibilities include:
  • Develop ideas and provide useful information for Mizuho's clientele, in order to facilitate constructive discussion between our sales teams and the clientele's management teams
  • Project management for both fee based and non-fee based advisory and research projects from corporate clients
  • Research and analyse ASEAN and India markets for a variety of industries, and produce writing (public articles/reports) to raise Mizuho's reputation and awareness
  • Engage with relevant internal/external stakeholders, such as legal and tax professionals, database vendors etc. to secure services and information required


Job Requirements
What you should have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in consulting/advisory firms, or a similar position within other corporations
  • Experience in market research, business development and cross-border market entry strategy projects is preferred
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint), with basic data analytical skills
  • Flexible to travel for business within the ASEAN region and India is preferred
