The Commercial Operations team is seeking an experienced Bid Manager within our Proposal Delivery Services Team who will coordinate and assemble a bid team that has the skills to analyze, prepare and submit a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. This is a unique opportunity to work with a wide variety of internal teams, providing scalable solutions to support client service colleagues around the world. Candidates are required to have consultative experience in the outsourcing environment, with communication and large-scale operations management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the end-to-end bid process.
  • Coordinate with various teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with BD teams, Client Services Key contacts, Marketing, Finance, Technology Commercial and Legal teams.
  • Work with Client Services and BD team to develop a clear win strategy for each bid and ensure we have win themes that are clear and compelling.
  • Contributing to the written proposal/RFP - both in terms of content and presentation (such as providing guidance around the executive summary)
  • Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
  • Co-ordinate and plan all client presentations required as part of the bid submission.
  • Demonstrate the ability to bring innovation to the framing and structuring of RFPs, Proposals, and other presentations
  • Ensure consistent application of the Bid Management Framework to all the assigned pursuits.
  • Brainstorm solutions providing tactical advice and guidance with the ability to drive strategy and solutions that result in winning submissions
  • Liaise directly with business leaders to evaluate results and increase effectiveness and overall quality of the team's work product
  • Coaching teams and SMEs in persuasive writing and proposal best practice.
  • Implement standardized processes for all aspects of bid/proposal operations.
  • Adjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, last minute requirements, and occasional evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlines.
  • Conduct debriefs to determine future pitchbook/proposal/presentation strategies and potential process and tool changes.
  • Develop consistent and efficient pitchbook and proposal management processes, tools, and templates
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 5-8 year of Bid Management and/or Pre-Sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree (Masters desirable) in English/Business/Management
  • Demonstrable experience of working on large and complex bids as a Bid Manager
  • Strong organizational, facilitation and project management skills
  • Determined and enthusiastic in bringing pursuits to a successful closure
  • Highly credible with the ability to influence both internally with colleagues, and externally with clients and partners.
  • Diversity of experience in large corporate organizations and small business concerns
  • Preferred - formal proposal industry training certification (e.g., Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification, Shipley, or similar program).
  • Experience using and/or managing proposal management software or similar knowledge base software, preferably Loopio.
  • Advanced MS Word / Powerpoint skills
  • Excellent written/spoken English with strong business writing
  • Experience leading teams working 24/5
  • Willingness to travel as and when required
