Standard Chartered nexus is looking for a Senior Analyst, Finance. You will be a trusted advisor to both functional leaders and executives and will play a key role in a fast growing, dynamic organisation. A mix of competencies is required; this person should be able to think strategically about business, have technical finance, and analytical competencies and demonstrate collaborative leadership skills.
What you will be doing:
  • M&A/ Capital Raising: run the entire deal lifecycle - manage deal workflow, coordinate multiple due diligence streams, and work with various stakeholders. You will also be assisting in reviewing legal transactions documents, involved in preparing presentation decks, as well as, other ad-hoc responsibilities
  • Financial Modelling and Planning: build, maintain, and continuously evolve financial models to evaluate business options, product launches, new markets and other strategic deliverables
  • Reporting and Analysis: be very comfortable with financial modelling, financial statements and business metrics. Run monthly updates and financial reviews with company leaders, presenting both high level analysis and detailed deep dives where needed
  • Strategy: leverage on business and market insights, collaborating with supported business teams. Plan and lead strategic initiatives. Provide insights, analysis and forecast of trends and variances using as needed comparative benchmarks; recommend actions or perform financial modeling to assess options
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel/ spreadsheets and PowerPoint tools. Prior experience in analytical tools e.g. Power BI or Tableau is a plus
What you need to be successful in this role:
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in management consulting, investment bank, private equity or venture capital at a reputable firm
  • Impeccable quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting; accounting degree is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and execute on processes while working with diverse and/or remote stakeholders
  • Avid reader, great at summarising and distilling key actionable point; Great at building decks with compelling narratives
  • Great outgoing personality that's able to build strong relationships with people at all levels
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and driving clarity with competing objectives.
