Wealth Credit Management (WCM) at Citi is a newly formed business line to provide integrated end to end credit underwriting, transaction, and portfolio management in partnership with all the origination businesses of the Private Bank and Wealth Management of Citi. We are looking to hire an experienced professional to contribute to the Credit Management Team (CMT) within Loan Product and Transaction Management in WCM.

CMT will be responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the credit approval process, specifically on credit data management activities to ensure quality of the credit data captured. In addition, CMT will provide another level of support as a control function to ensure credit policy and regulatory requirements are followed and addressed appropriately. The team will work closely with credit specialists and team heads to facilitate an efficient credit process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations as well as Citi's Policies and Product Programs impacting the Business.
  • Capture Credit, Regulatory & Policy driven data attributes in the credit system.
  • Rectify any credit data quality issue identified.
  • Verify credit memo information and data captured in credit system for absolute consistency.
  • Ensure appropriate credit approval confirmations are captured.
  • Oversee the CA and facility creation in the credit system.
  • Represent CMT on various workstreams and initiatives across PBWM
  • Ensure compliance of client regulatory information prior to the facility authorization.
  • Authorize Credit Facility Availment.
  • Work with various stakeholders to remediate identified policy exceptions and any data related matters.
  • Participate in projects and provide valuable input with various working groups created to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust control environment.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
  • Knowledge of Loan Products
  • Good understanding of Credit Memo
  • Knowledge of Citibank's Credit Policies, Product Programs, and Citi policies
  • Familiarity with loan documentation structure
  • Strong initiative and interactive approach to problem solving
  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management both within the lines of business and across multiple stakeholders
  • Highly developed analytical and decision-making capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose and execute solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to multi-task through the practice of strong organizational and time management skills with experience in continuously following-up with various stakeholders and execution team
  • Experience working with loan underwriters
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintain business line partnerships
  • Ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing


Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in large financial institution is a must
  • Prior experience in working in a control function or credit management is a must
  • Understanding of lending rules and regulations is a must
  • Undergraduate degree is required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail

  • Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Client relationship and solution skills
  • Energetic and responsive team player.
