The Role

You shall possess relevant knowledge and experience in the monitoring of lending to corporate clients. You will be required to:-

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management.

• Anticipate developments, identify and monitor accounts that will require special attention

• Work with stakeholders to devise an appropriate strategy to deal with accounts that require special attention.

• Manage the handling of distressed accounts and negotiate to bring late or missed payments into line with terms.

• Obtain sufficient information and performance statistics to assess the creditworthiness of accounts with special monitoring requirements.

• Work closely with the Credit Assessment team and Recovery team as part of the integrated and collective end-to-end credit cycle process to ensure the Bank's overall loan portfolio is protected.

• Manage portfolio dashboards/reports to stakeholders.

• Involve in risk-related management projects and credit-related administrative matters to ensure compliance with the Bank's approved parameters and guidelines.

• Attend Branch Credit Oversight Committee ("BCOC") meeting as secretary

• Prepare minutes for BCOC meeting

• Meet the agreed service level and operational risks standard objectives

• To observe the standard of good banking practice as set out by ABS Code of conduct and to comply and adhere to the guidelines governing anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist issues with the understanding of its importance and implication

Other duties may include portfolio stress testing, reviewing and providing updates of policy manuals, and ESG-related tasks.

Qualification and Experience

Candidates shall possess a recognised diploma/degree with preferably 3 to 8 years of relevant banking experience in credit function with a full licensed bank. Good communication, writing, and Microsoft Excel skills are essential requisites for this post. Candidates with good credit knowledge of the banking industry and practices will be favourably considered. Other desired attributes include the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
