The Global Financing & Credit Trading Business Finance team in Singapore supports both the Financing business and Credit Trading (which incorporates both Flow and Credit Solutions) across APAC.

Your key responsibilities:

The role will primarily be in the product control space, with responsibility for accurate and timely reporting of the daily profit-and-loss and risk reports to the respective desks across Asia. The team work closely with the broader Business Finance team in Manila who book run and are responsible for the daily P&L production. Potential additional responsibilities would extend to oversight of Financial Control processes and controls, as well as More "business finance" type responsibilities:
  • Review and oversight of the daily P&L ensuring it is properly explained/substantiated.
  • Ensure that key controls are properly and fully implemented - monitoring exception ageing and help drive remediation.
  • Reconcile our consolidated daily P&L with Management Reporting system, investigate and resolve issues.
  • Key contact and escalation point for both bookrunner and Front-Office.
  • Produce aggregated monthly / quarterly commentary and for business or specific entities i.e., Singapore / Hong Kong.
  • Work closely with Traders, Market Risk Management, Middle Office and Accounting Policy to resolve Risk, P&L and accounting issues.
  • Monthly review of reserves.
  • Respond to ad hoc queries and requests from senior management, auditors and regulators.

Your skills and experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in an investment bank performing a product control position, with experience covering credit trading/financing.
  • Strong knowledge of product control concepts e.g., reconciliation and consolidation of daily P&L with management reporting system, investigation and resolving issues
  • Have an in-depth understanding of financial products such as bonds, loans and derivatives
  • Outstanding financial controllers with direct financial markets experience in a commercial bank, or solid knowledge of relevant IFRS accounting standards will also be considered
  • Experience facing off to the Front Office and other relevant stakeholders; including auditors and regulators
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Analytical and thorough, whilst being able to communicate complex information to a wide variety of stakeholders;
  • A strong team player with good inter-personal skills.

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement applies
