We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Specialist, GI Actuarial.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive various valuation activities, which include
    • IFRS17 implementation
    • Setting, reviewing and monitoring of company's actuarial assumptions for reserving
    • Setting, reviewing and monitoring of actuarial assumptions for quarterly forecasting and business planning exercises
    • Preparing, managing and investigating data used for actuarial investigations, financial reporting and business support
    • Communicating information and key results to a variety of technical and non-technical audience across the business
    • Working in hand with other actuarial and reinsurance teams in developing and supporting tools to facilitate business and implementing Actuarial control cycle for each business class (link from Reserving to Pricing and vice-versa)
    • Driving and developing regular and ad-hoc projects within the Valuation team to facilitate better business partnering and continued development of technical maturity within the team
Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skill, with ability to influence team / internal stakeholders positively
  • Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication and inter-personal skills
  • Solid project management skills due to large number of parties involved and tight deadlines
  • Independent with a self-starter mind-set
  • 0-3 years of relevant General Insurance/Health experience
