The Public Equities (EQ) department pursues active management strategies in equity investing. We invest globally and are organised along product groups specialising in different total return, relative return and quantitative strategies.
We are looking for an Research Analyst to join the Equities Department on a 2 years contract (with full employment terms & benefits). Strong performers will have the opportunity to be offered a permanent position at the end of the contract. The successful candidate would be an integral part of the Equities investment process. She/he would report to a Senior Vice President / Portfolio Manager and the Head of Research, Equity CIO's office and would be based in Singapore.

Responsibilities
•Support senior analysts and portfolio managers as a global healthcare research analyst covering a broad range of subsectors
•Independently perform market research on key healthcare markets and emerging / disruptive trends, and identify potential investment ideas
•Conduct due diligence on companies in both public and private markets through corporate engagement, site visits, industry channel checks, third party experts, etc. Analyze attractiveness of companies, build financial models and develop the investment case
•Prepare investment recommendations in the form of presentations and papers, and communicate and/or present to broader investment teams
•Collaborate with colleagues from other teams in the Equities department and across GIC

Requirements
•Candidates who are currently professionals in the biopharma/medical/healthcare industry with relevant academic background, but would like a career switch. A keen and proven interest in business/financial analysis would be required as candidates are expected to hit the ground running upon joining the team
•Resourcefulness, excellent analytical skills, and strong spoken and written communication skills for both internal and external engagement
•Intellectual curiosity and drive to conduct deep-dive due diligence on market trends and individual companies
•Ability to manage multiple and parallel workflows in a fast-paced environment
