Fx Full Stack Java Analyst Developer

As a Barclays Fx Full Stack Java Developer you will have an exciting chance to fit into the team and the current code base and use this as a base to be able to design and develop new components. This will include ongoing re-implementations of the existing codebase, extensions thereof and ongoing support of those systems. You will play a crucial role and Develop Java full stack projects for the Markets Execution department as defined by business requirements and prioritization.

What will you be doing?
- Developing solutions to problems both tactical and strategic as the business requires it
- Working closely with the business users to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions
- Providing estimates for tasks, including design, development and testing
- Working on a micro services distributed architecture for strategic enhancements to a low-latency Foreign Exchange electronic trading platform
- Working closely with Business Analysts, Project Manager, Technical Leads, Quality Assurance team and Quantitative Developers
- Designing, developing and delivering solutions to meet the business requirements
- Excellent Java programming skills
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of Spring & Spring Boot, knowledge of HTML5 / JavaScript - particularly React/Redux
- Experience of Java unit testing practices, ideally Junit
- Experience working with a micro service architecture, cloud infrastructure and principles, Experience working with application containers e.g. Docker
- Experience of standard development and build tools, e.g. GIT, TeamCity, experience of database ORMs e.g. Hibernate, investment banking, front office trading application
- Technology/Engineering university degree
- Full-lifecycle development of at least 1 large commercial system, with ideal candidate focusing on significant development in a commercial capacity
