What it's about

In this position you will be part of the Private Wealth APAC Client Solutions team, which is responsible for building new and broadening existing relationships with private wealth channels across Asia. Amid strong growth in this client segment, Partners Group is looking to expand its footprint in the region. This position includes managing existing and developing new relationships and fundraising opportunities in the region and demands a high degree of collaboration with the global Partners Group team.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and managing relationships with existing and new Private Wealth partners such as global/regional/local banks and asset managers across relevant stakeholders
  • Sourcing and leading strategic distribution projects and product initiatives, coordinating day-to-day interactions across open-ended and closed-ended funds
  • Map out investor landscape, plan and undertake regular cold call campaigns
  • Understanding and presenting the full range of Partners Group's solutions to partner organizations including operational and regulatory features of a product/project
  • Working closely with Partners Group's private wealth teams (portfolio solutions, structuring) and building strong rapport with headquarters
  • Contributing to global strategic efforts such as digital client engagement and fintech enablement
  • Becoming an expert in private markets and Partners Group's platform, products and investment strategies across asset classes
  • Understand key competitors' offerings and know how to best position Partners Group's solutions
  • Be involved in client onboarding, including CDD and KYC
  • Help develop junior professionals on the team, and in the Client Solutions department
What we expect

The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the private wealth industry, and 5-8 years of experience in working with GPs and/or distribution partners preferably in APAC. For this position we are looking for someone who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization and someone who possesses strong networking & organization skills.

The successful candidate should have the following profile:
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA, Master's and/or CFA preferred) with strong academic background in finance, accounting, economics or a relevant discipline
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience (preferably in private markets industry) in business development, consulting, sales & marketing, relationship management
  • Previous experience within the fund selection and institutional sales departments in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Private Markets, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and identifying/converting new clients with a track record of fundraising success
  • Familiarity with alternatives with a focus on semi-liquid products, mutual funds and close-ended products would be a distinct advantage
  • Proficiency in business English - both written and verbal. Fluency in additional Asian language is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate in a polished, professional manner
  • Attention to detail, extremely organized, and commitment to excellence. Able to problem solve with a client-focused mindset
  • Responsive and willing to work to tight deadlines in a challenging environment
