Company Overview:

Our client, a top-tier asset management firm looking to hire Legal Counsel to report to the General Counsel

About the job:

• Preparation and negotiation of fund-related documentation.
• The formation/launch/restructuring/termination and/or liquidation of sub-funds/schemes for different fund strategies spanning public markets and traditional asset classes to private markets and alternative asset classes.
• The ESG aspects of fund strategies including but not limited to drafting and reviewing the ESG related disclosures and contractual provisions in offering documents and agreements with inputs from the Funds team, Investment ESG Centre of Excellence and external counsel where required.
• Draft and review agreements with service providers, such as transfer agents and fund administrators.
• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements with external vendors/outsourcing partners.
• Advise on data protection, privacy and intellectual property matters and other related areas of local law.

Requirements:

• Young lawyers willing to move inhouse. Minimum of 5 to 12 years of PQE in a law firm (Funds practice) or asset management firm. Open to M&A, general corporate commercial and funds lawyers with willingness to learn and good stakeholder management skills.
