Your background
  • You can code. Strong core Java & C# fundamentals, including multi-threading, and performance tuning. Our products are mostly built with C#, core Java & Python.
  • You have a good design sense including knowledge of effective design approaches and patterns. When to apply and when not to apply design patterns. Clean, supportable, testable and performant code being the goal.
  • You have a sense of urgency. Ideally having worked in a Global Markets Front Office environment you will understand the importance to analyze problems quickly, provide feedback to relevant stakeholders and set expectations on remediation.
  • You have a strong understanding of agile methodology, with an emphasis on test driven development & continuous integration.
  • You are a team player with confidence and without ego as you will need to mentor junior members as well as receive guidance from senior team members.
  • You are broadly skilled who can pick up new technologies and concepts and apply them to your day to day work. You have a good understanding of tools like gradle, Jenkins, Team City, git and Ansible.

What you can expect

The Equities Linked Technology (ELT) team supports the Derivatives trading business in the Global Markets. The team provides innovative solutions for Quoting, Pricing, Trade Capture & Booking, Risk & PL and Post Trade workflow. We are uniquely positioned in the sense that we work very closely with many different technology teams across the front office equities division, Operations & Quartz Core technology teams as well as front office Quants and Product.

This position is for a role in the Derivatives Pricing & Booking team who owns applications focusing on Pricing, RFQs, Blotter, Trade Capture, Booking & STP. In this challenging role, you will be responsible for delivering on a number of high-profile projects, lights on & L3. What you will do
  • Develop, test and release software.
  • Work with technology and business groups in the region and globally to deliver high quality products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide production support for applications.
  • Manage project deliveries independently.
  • Work on Full development cycle, inclusive of automation QA.
  • Communicate and discuss with Business Owners on Specifications
