Overview
The Asia Market Manager role is a critical member of our Direct Clearing Product Management team. Direct Clearing deploys the services and rails for cross-border payments for our corporate and financial institution clients. This is a highly collaborative role and will report into the Head of USD Clearing. The individual will be working closely with our Relationship Management and Business Development team in Asia as well as with Product Managers to spot new trends in payments, competitive updates, come up with innovative ideas for how we can discuss our services with clients to grow their business.
The Market Management function is responsible for determining and promoting client-centric solutions with the support of regional and cross-functional partners across the Global Payments team. The Asia Market Manager will gain in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of our capabilities and an understanding of all products, the marketplace and client needs to drive product growth/development and maximize profitability. In this capacity, the individual will have a unique impact to key areas of the Global Payments business:
The Asia Market Manager, as an intermediary between the Asia Relationship Management and Business Development and Product teams, will have an opportunity to design multi-product services across the Direct Clearing product suite. The individual will champion innovation and lead change. Strategic thinking, excellent communication, and a commercial mindset are important factors to success.

- The Voice of BNY Mellon payment services: Serve as the client and sales advocate, embodying the voice of the client in all engagements and when gaining support with the Asia Relationship Management and Business Development team
- Innovation: Determine which services to focus on per top client needs and business priorities and execute against them
- Client-centricity: Identify key client challenges and how to address them through the creation of cross-product services and collateral. Gain client-facing experience in negotiation for complex deals. Lead solutioning and pricing discussion with Product, Relationship Managers, and Seniors. Promote key messages/go-to-market campaigns for key priorities for Global Payments
- Collaboration: Partner with colleagues from all functions and levels across the organization to build consensus on solutions
- Strategy and Analytics: Leverage internal and client-facing analytical tools, competitive analysis, industry insights, create and execute internal and external marketing engagement strategy (including webinars, thought leadership papers, etc.), build client-centric communication and collateral to drive forward our global payment solutions. Provide payment industry insights and awareness to the business of trends impacting at country, regional, and industry level, as well as competitor positioning offerings and how this impacts our payments business and clients

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. MBA or CFA preferred.
- 12 plus years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in Market Management and Product Management and client management preferred.
- Product Leadership Certification preferred.
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
