The Role Responsibilities
Responsible for providing design solutions to our various data products, as well as driving a data culture across Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking (CCIB). The ideal candidate is exceptionally creative and innovative, want to learn new skills and lead the creations of stunning design deliverables for our products.
Strategy
  • Promote an analytics culture and use of analytics as a common language across CCIB, support embedding of design principles and development of analytical capabilities throughout network.
  • Promote analytics driven decision making processes across multiple segments / product portfolios.
  • Providing thought leadership on solutions and collaborating across teams and functional lines.
  • Act as a central champion to drive a data-driven organization.
Business
  • Lead the end-to-end design process for our analytics products or any other business demands.
  • Support through a variety of project based graphic and visual designs including icons, logos, infographics, interactive elements, etc
  • Responsible in designing appealing look-and-feel data product (e.g., dashboard, communication etc).
  • Drive the innovation of visual design and the improvement of user experience.
  • Serve as a critical partner to the business in delivering actionable insights & data/ analytics-based solutions to business needs and problems.
  • Help educate business on available analytics capabilities & tools.
Processes
  • Collaborate with teams to understand users' needs, identify design opportunities to create meaningful experiences and implement UI/UX guidelines, principles, and best practices to ensure consistency and minimize repetitive work.
  • Engage and execute the dashboards on Tableau or similar visualization tools.
  • Prepare and/or contribute to regular updates for various committees and governance forums.
  • Provide insights to senior management and the network based on MIS and analytics.
  • Highlight any perceived risk and early alerts to the management based on data analytics.
People and Talent
  • Lead through example; engage in peer-to-peer leadership.
  • Provide effective orientation/ guidance to new joiners on the bank's policies/ procedures/ processes to ensure their successful assimilation into the team and the bank.
  • Develop and implement a personal learning plan with team manager, to attain necessary competencies.
  • Successfully complete milestones as laid out in implemented personal learning plan.
Risk Management
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role remit.
  • Proactively manage risks and establish/ monitor controls to improve the overall state of the risk management and operating framework.
  • Ensure a clear and uniform approach towards implementation of the global operating model for all IMO related processes and adherence to DOIs.
Governance
  • Ensure, lead, and monitor strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure strong due diligence on document safekeeping and data confidentiality.
  • Ensure risks are clearly identified, quantified, and escalated.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal & external policies and procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements.
Regulatory & Business conduct

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Demonstrated relevant 5+ years' experience on UI design, graphic design and visual design with a strong portfolio of work
  • Proficiency with design software & prototyping tools e.g., Figma, Adobe suite etc
  • Strong content writing skills to create impactful materials (e.g. comm, PowerPoint decks) for management presentation or newsletters.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all seniority levels and cultures throughout the organization
  • Experience in change / project management to drive transformation initiatives and projects.
  • Good to have knowledge on tableau or other BI tools or at least willing to learn.
  • Strong self-starter with initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently as well as collaborate within the wider teams
  • Strong attention to details and have a keen eye for aesthetics
  • Highly driven and motivated with an eager-to-learn attitude and actively seek out ways to improve processes, people, and products.
  • Creativity skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving aptitude

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) educational background in a relevant design discipline.
