The Role Responsibilities
  • The role holder will be responsible for leading the stress testing of the Treasury Markets, analysing the results, presenting conclusions and making actionable recommendations to the senior management. The scope will cover projections of balance sheet, profit and loss (including income, expenses, credit & other impairments), other capital and liquidity items.
  • The role holder will regularly interact with teams in multiple departments including Finance, Risk, Treasury and Business and will closely collaborate with teams in Singapore, India and London to discharge their responsibilities.
  • The role will provide an excellent opportunity to learn how stress testing can impact BAU risk management and the bank's strategy.
Specifically, the key responsibilities will include
  • Drive the analysis of stress test results and the implications for strategy, planning and risk management based on established statistical and analytical methods.
  • Conduct review of plausibility of the generated stress test output from the enterprise stress testing platform.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality materials for senior forums, committees and the regulator covering regulatory and management stress tests.
  • Lead changes in process and systems for Treasury Markets stress testing due to changes in regulations, business requirement, refinements in methodology.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on the production of stress test results for the Central and Others segment covering Other Banking products.
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should possess the following
  • 10+ years of exposure to banking with sound knowledge of financial products; those with qualifications like CFA or FRM will be preferred.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, credit risk, balance sheet management, Treasury or strategy.
  • Exposure in stress testing - Bank of England stress tests, CCAR, MAS Industry-Wide Stress Test or ICAAP stress tests.
  • Ability to synthesise complex or diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition, business understanding and experience to complement data and procedures.
  • Expertise in using MS Office tools - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong creativity with problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence and self-motivation with a high level of drive and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and nurture great relationships with stakeholders and collaborate well.
