Senior Risk Analytical Manager

Responsibilities

As a Senior Risk Analytical Manager, you will be involved in supporting the risk operations by conducting data analysis of risk cases from transaction and portfolio level, in order to discover risk indicators, risk trends from big data sets, and provide solutions by building risk strategy to proactively prevent fraud or financial loss for Airwallex payment acquiring products.

Job Description
- Analyze user and transaction level data to identify high risk merchant segmentations, and work with risk policy, product, and operation teams for the effective risk prevention actions
- Analyze the big data from different perspectives such as industry, merchant segmentation etc. to identify the appropriate risk treatment to balance both risk and customer experience
- Optimize current risk rules to prevent emerging risk trends through data driven analysis and develop new and effective risk strategies
- Identify the improvement opportunities for current risk products from data usage perspective, and closely work with the data team to improve the data quality.
- Presents data analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations so that data driven decisions can be made.
- Measures and monitors results of applied recommendations and present necessary adjustments.

Qualification
- At least 5+ years of experience in fraud / credit risk / compliance function with experience in risk analysis
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with SQL and analytical tools (SAS, R, Python) is a must
- Experience in problem-solving, including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns and out-of-the-box thinking
- Has strong project management skills for improving processes, policies and products
- Experience in acquiring product and payment industry
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Excellent team player capable of learning and sharing knowledge in a team environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to interact at all levels, including working closely with cross functional teams
- Management experience with leading a analytical team is preferred, but not mandatory required
- Fluent in Mandarin is preferred
