Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.

Regional SME BIE (Business & Initiative Enablement) team, also known as Merlion team. aims to embed DDOM into SME business across the region. This will enable both new-to-bank and new-to-product customer acquisition at scale and improve cross-sell, via effective use of data, including AI/ML via distributing channels such as digital & RM/Product Sales.

SME BIE has an established framework across Data, Technology and Processes to enable DDOM. The key objective is to embed the new advanced analytics enabled way of running the IBG 3&4 business. There needs to be a focus on accelerated monetization by deepening relationship with SME customers. It will also enable AI industrialisation at scale and reduce time to create business impact by quicker deployment of advanced analytics use cases and marketing campaigns.

The Regional Capability Lead will play a crucial role in driving MtJs, partnering & enabling the Product Owners and Business leads. MtJ refers to Managing Through Journeys. The Regional Capability Lead will be involved in the design & continuous improvement of various MtJ end-to-end processes, including lead generation& distribution, control tower, customer campaigns & analysis. This applies to both the RM-led and Digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

This function will be responsible for the following, in many cases supporting MtJ:
  • Leads Generation & Improvement - Deliver & deepen capability & end-to-end processes to generate hyper-personalized leads & improve lead quality including Reason-to-Buy & feedback loop via working with customers, Product Managers & sales, data team and Relationship Managers
  • Campaign Management - Design scalable processes end-to-end to support campaigns inception, execution and post campaign analysis at scale. For instance design and implement a process/system where rules-based & AI/ML leads can be prioritized, a central campaign calendar that is easily accessible to all stakeholders including RMs, post successful POC(Proof of Concept)
  • Control Towers CT - Define, validate, prioritize, project manage & deliver/enhance Control Tower as part of DDOM to stakeholders, working with partners. Usage of CT is a measure if we are building dashboards that are fit for use & purpose
  • Best Practice Sharing across journeys & geographies
  • To fully capitalize investment spend on capability built, it is also required for this lead to proactively & intentionally plan best practice sharing across SME segments & countries, to minimize reinventing of wheels. Scope of Regional Sharing (Some examples below)
A) Intentions to build capabilities ( e.g. central campaign calendar, rules-based campaign automation-Campaign 360, IDW & IDEAL enhancements)

B) Ai/ML model builds

C) Process Improvements (e.g. lead management)

D) Experimentations & Outcome

  • Degree in Banking/Finance, Business, Engineering, Computing or related disciplines
  • At least 8 years of working experience in financial institutions or consulting, preferably with experience in project management or working on digital platforms and tools.
  • Familiarity with the various products and digital channels used by corporate customers will be preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, organize, analyse information with attention to details and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Significant experience managing multiple-stakeholder environments
  • Meticulous, highly organized and able to work under pressure in a time-critical environment.
  • Purpose driven with strong drive to deliver real outcomes and impact
  • Strong project management skill - Develop and track work plans, to achieve the squad outcomes
