Job Purpose
  • Support sound credit risk management and achieve optimal level of risk-reward balance for CBG and WM portfolios
  • Cultivate & maintain a consistent consumer credit culture in the Bank to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
  • Enable efficient data management for sound credit risk management & reporting, in order to help the Bank achieve optimal level of risk-reward balance for CBG and WM portfolios.
  • Drive Special Projects for the Reporting Team, using advanced technology and methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Perform portfolio analysis, monitor portfolio performance, and proactively manage emerging risks due to macro-economic and regulatory changes including management and regulatory reporting and commentary on portfolio performance and key trends
  • Serve as an in-house specialist in ADA data management platform for credit risk monitoring & reporting. Work closely with internal RMR & Business stake holders to formulate process of data management and governance on these Reports generation.
  • Lead and Drive Regional- and Country- Credit Risk Projects pertaining to SAS Exit (post cutover), Dashboarding (via QlikSense, Tableau), and other ongoing key projects.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders from Business, Business Analytics, Credit Strategy, Credit Approval, Technology, Operations etc for supporting Credit Digitalisation projects
  • Perform regular and ad-hoc risk reporting to consumer credit management/ line of business stakeholders and MIS preparation for regulatory reporting.
  • Run and produce MIS for reporting on risk exposures and metrics to enable informed and strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct portfolio stress testing to establish portfolio risk tolerance.
  • Apply analytics and data mining techniques using credit data and alternative data sources to monitor portfolio performances based on established portfolio triggers
  • Present MIS & data in required formats which are visual, universally understandable or easy to interpret (e.g. dashboards).
  • Analyse portfolio performance to assess risks and opportunities to maximize product profitability.
  • Work with Collections Strategy and Reporting Teams to streamline existing processes.
  • Conduct key regular and ad-hoc risk reporting & portfolio stress-testing to consumer credit management/ line of business stakeholders and MIS preparation for regulatory reporting.
  • Develop, execute and maintain data management and governance process in RMR.
  • Work with MOT & Regional Teams to bring in readily extractable data and in the desired format for RMR usage.
  • Identify opportunities/ gaps to improve data quality and automate existing reporting processes.
  • Project Management and UAT Support for Data-related, Dashboarding and Digitalisation Projects.
Requirements
  • At least 7-8 years of relevant experience in financial sector, with hands-on technical know-how and data projects experience
  • Relevant working experience in credit risk monitoring, reporting, statistics, data analytics and/ or project management.
  • Degree holder, preferably in risk management/ quantitative discipline
  • Knowledge of Python, SAS and/or SQL programming with strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Access).
  • Good understanding and knowledge of credit cycle management in a consumer credit environment is a plus.
  • Good inter-personal, communication & writing skills.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
