Global Transaction Services (GTS) comprises of Cash & Trade, Securities Services and Fiduciary Services. Cash Management and Trade Finance is the mainstay of GTS, and our products & services are extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs. Our products help our clients navigate the complexities of operating & excelling in an increasingly borderless world, both in terms of cash management and trade finance services.

The Head of Collections, Cash Management will be part of GTS's Group Cash Management team. She/he will be an experienced leader with a mindset of innovation and creativity for developing existing and new Products. Along with a team of product managers, the incumbent will manage the complete suite of Collections products and solutions for corporates, businesses and financial institutions.

Job Purpose
  • Lead, develop and grow capabilities for the Collections business. Drive P&L, product plans, market /competitive analysis, oversee product development and implementation.
  • Provide leadership to drive innovative and scalable solutions for clients in a constantly changing landscape.
  • Drive selected key initiatives, such as iconic journeys and a comprehensive review of the portfolio to strengthen the overall value proposition and product strategy.
  • Provide business/product representation, as may be required.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Define our Collections proposition & strategy alongside Group Cash Head, and country leads and other Group product heads, ensuring a unified approach to identify & capture opportunities;
  • Lead product development, identify revenue growth opportunities within existing products and through expansion into new products & services;
  • Monitor new technological advancements such as blockchain, IoT, 5G and evaluate the applicability to solve real customer problems in the transaction services space;
  • Stay close to the market, conduct regular review of existing digital product suite, pricing, servicing, features etc. to drive, sustain extent competitiveness;
  • Collaborate and exert influence with key stakeholders across business, technology, operations, L&C, marketing and other teams, including location heads, in defining key performance metrics; aligning objectives; designing product infrastructure and operating models to achieve superior business growth;
  • Drive consistency of product offerings across the region, and establish regular cadence with in-country teams to drive commercialization and scale;
  • Review and ensure proper processes and controls are in place for risk mitigation and compliance with applicable policies and regulations;
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to Product Sales and client management teams, Relationship Managers and other stakeholders on the product features.
  • Provide business/product representation as required in internal forums and represent DBS at key Industry workgroups as required.
Required Experience & Key Success Factors
  • At least 10-15 years of product management or related work experience in financial services / ecommerce / management consulting; or technology background with 5+ years of product management experience;
  • Good understanding of Transaction Banking related products is an advantage;
  • Familiarity with blockchain and DLT technologies, especially on cryptocurrency wallets, exchange, smart contracts, and basic understanding of digital toolsets such as Cloud, APIs, machine learning, Data analytics is a plus;
  • Analytical, and able address business specific issues through obtaining & analysing data, to validate opportunities, and also push user adoption and growth;
  • Demonstrated success in client engagement and engaging internal partners to product development and commercialization;
  • Desire to keep up with industry and market developments and assess how these impact the business;
  • Excellent communication, coordination and relationship building skills, with experience working in cross functional and cross location roles;
  • Experience in internationally renowned fintech companies, or experience in product development for large platform products are a plus;
  • Experience in regional/global facing products preferred, especially in payments or financial software products;
  • Highly adaptable, self-starter, ability to deal with ambiguity, thrives in fast-moving and high-growth environments, bias towards action.
