Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we managethe majority ofthe Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, and deploy end-to-end software solutions in the Technology & Operations - Legal, Compliance, Secretariat & Audit domain
• Experience in managing high performing development teams
• Designed and implemented distributed systems
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle including code and design reviews
• Work closely and communicate effectively and independently with project managers, business analysts, development leads, test engineers, test managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and business users
• Participate in the analysis and requirements gathering phase and help to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet client needs and expectations
• Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reusable, and testable code following best practices and design principles
• Be responsible for the performance, stability, reliability, and security of the developed platform.
• Proactively identify efficiency and design improvements to existing systems and processes

Requirements:

• Several years of technology delivery experience of mission-critical, highly-available, and scalable systems
• Experience developing high-volume and low-latency server-side solutions in Java
• Hands on experience writing modern single page web applications, preferably in Angular
• Experience with a major relational database system and one NoSQL database
• Experience with distributed messaging systems, preferably Kafka
• Experience using source code control systems and branching strategies including with hands on experience branching, merging, and releasing
• Knowledge of data grids or key-value stores
• Knowledge of distributed tracing and logging infrastructure, preferably Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
• Knowledge of data structures, design patterns, architectural styles, and API designs

Non-Technical Skills

• Experience directing i agile technology teams
• Ability to adapt to challenges while remaining calm in a constantly changing environment
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience within retail banking environment is a plus
• Credit Card, Internet / Mobile Banking fraud detection and risk scoring domain knowledge is a plus
