Citi APAC has embarked on an ambitious and exciting path which has led to a significant shift in strategy. To support our strategic repositioning and to enable seamless coordination across markets with shared trends and client needs, two APAC clusters were announced earlier this year - North & East Asia (NEA) Cluster and South Asia & ASEAN (SAA) Cluster. As the Cluster Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), you will provide insight and challenge to ensure business leaders develop, agree and deliver on these ambitious, strategically aligned and financially disciplined plans.

The Cluster Head of FP&A plays a key business advisory role supporting decision making at a senior level, highlighting key financial issues and risks to be considered. FP&A's responsibilities include supporting and coordinating the development of the operating plan; run future financial projections; budgeting, forecasting and in partnership with Treasury, capital and liquidity adequacy management and ensuring the maintenance of a high standard of controls.

The Cluster FP&A Head will report directly to the Cluster CFO and a key responsibility for the role is to lead and develop the Cluster FP&A team by enabling achievement of business and firm-wide objectives. The role will manage FP&A professionals onsite with oversight of the offshore teams in Mumbai that support cluster FP&A, and will work closely with Regional FP&A teams (Product & Workstreams), Country Controllers, Accounting Policy, Treasury, Tax, Risk and Compliance

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team managing all FP&A processes including strong engagement with LFOs of the Regional businesses
  • Provide financial metrics, analysis and variance analysis into business reviews with Cluster Heads and country CCOs within the cluster by working with LFO's on necessary business insight and commentary
  • Support the FP&A activities required for capital stress testing exercises and other local ICAAP/Regulatory processes for the countries within the cluster
  • Support activities required for local Boards within the cluster countries
  • Drive Risk & Control agenda including data accuracy and identify, assess and escalate risks
  • Support the budget and forecast cycles, which will be regional driven, by reviewing the cluster level financials
  • Drive overall investment governance for the cluster
  • Lead special ad-hoc projects
  • Provide strategy for driving change within your own team inclusive of transformation efforts, e.g.., process efficiency, reduction of EUCs, etc.
Profile:
  • Previous experience in banking, finance, strategy and planning
  • Strong project management experience to drive various initiatives to completion
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work / thrive in a pressured environment with tight deadlines
  • Multi-tasking skills with efficiently prioritizing various conflicts and interests
  • Proactive professional approach while actively seeking new assignments and delivering out-of-the-box results
  • Independent thinker, with a strong will to develop and improve by challenging status quo
  • Ability to build strong relationships and interact at all levels in the organization
  • Proven adaptability to learn quickly and experience to work with various ethnic groups from diverse background and cultures
