Join us as a member of the Business Risk and Processing Solutions (BRPS) in WM APAC BRPS AML. As part of the team based in Singapore, you will oversee the AML risk and control framework of BRPS relating to all aspects of KYC CDD, Source of Wealth/Funds and screening requirements across the client lifecycle. As the risk owner in first line of defense, you will play a key role in formulation, implementation and monitoring of AML related policies and procedures, including system set up and review. You will be responsible for assessing AML regulatory requirements, assist in ensuring that the Financial Crime Compliance program is applied in a standardized manner to the APAC region, roll-out and implement AML specific initiatives and provide consistent FCC advice to the business whilst maintaining knowledge of local AML Laws and changes.
Besides interacting with the team members/ leaders of the verticals within BRPS, this role involves direct interaction with various senior business partners including Quality Assurance, Auditors, Financial Crime Compliance and First Line teams both within the region and globally.
Key Responsibilities
• SME Advisory: As a subject matter expert, providing responsive, sound and consistent compliance related advice, interpretation and recommendations on AML regulations, policies and procedures and business initiatives, with an emphasis on SOW and SOF related requirements
• Policy and Procedures: supporting the operational implementations of P&P and regulatory changes. Keeping abreast of industry and regulatory changes in key markets and ensuring appropriate translation in internal P&Ps.
• Governance & Oversight: developing and enhancing the existing AML risk and control framework, including one-bank coordination and oversight. Ability to identify emerging risks and take proactive action in implementing mitigation controls.
• Risk Appetite: Providing inputs for and maintaining the controls and risk appetite of the Department, including identification of root cause and tracking timely remediation
• Regulatory & Audit Management: handling the control and coordination aspects of regulatory/ audit / external reviews' enquiries and exams
• Risk Identification & Assessment: providing inputs to the annual risk and control assessments, review, and validation of risk events
• Ongoing Monitoring: overseeing issues and action plans including root cause analysis
• New Business: ensuring the accurate governance and oversight on business expansions and setting up the AML control infrastructure
• Regional alignment: Performing read across to other processes and controls based on gaps identified to proactively address issues in the region
• Senior management dashboards: Maintaining and publishing the MI of the key control and audit points, supervisory controls as well as risk appetite parameters to senior management and ensuring all follow-up actions are tracked and remediated
• Projects: providing control inputs to Run-the-Bank projects as needed

Reporting to directly to the team lead for KYCCDD & Name screening in WM APAC BRPS AML, the role would have you interact with BRPS colleagues in APAC regions (based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, India and Japan) who own the risk and compliance controls across the client lifecycle within the first line of defense.
