The Role Responsibilities
  • Development of new products, pricing policies and process improvement which includes development of new initiatives to sustain market competitiveness for both acquisition and retention of existing clients.
  • Own end-to-end mortgage product value chain with a focus on product innovation, digital journeys and pricing optimization to ensure delivery of capabilities within budgets/timelines while ensuring the best-in-class client experience.
  • Responsible for healthy portfolio growth, improving revenue, increasing client product holdings.
  • Monetize capabilities and develop analytics to track performance.
Strategy
  • Execute strategies for Retail Mortgage, consistent with the agreed CPBB strategy cascaded from line manager.
Business
  • Deliver against the financial framework and portfolio actions to grow income.
  • Enhance value propositions which are client-centric especially for the affluent segments.
  • Portfolio management including developing gating strategy with differentiated servicing and pricing model and driving data analytics usage to improve client insights and engagement.
  • Identify and remove blockages and ensure that smooth operating rhythm with stakeholders.
  • Drive end-to-end digital adoption, sales and servicing.
Processes
  • Continuous process improvement to simplify end-to-end processes to consistently deliver the best client experience. This includes developing and driving end-to-end digital adoption.
  • Monitor implementation of policies and control standards set by risk control owners and/or Group policy owners, ensuring the business is in compliance and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite.
People & Talent
  • Collaborate and work closely with both internal and external partners to drive results.
Risk Management
  • Highlight and address weaknesses across the end-to-end risk and control environment for Mortgage products.
Governance
  • Maintain awareness and understanding the regulatory framework in which the business operates, and the relevant regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • Understanding of the Group and Country policy including product program and credit policy to ensure the business is in compliance.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Singapore Retail Mortgage to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients, Effective Financial Markets, Financial Crime Compliance, The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree and above.
  • 3 + years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in Retail Clients / Retail Product & Project Management, with a good understanding of Mortgage, digital products and financials drivers.
  • Strong financial management capabilities: budget tracking, planning, forecast and variance explanations.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills: networking, negotiation and influencing.
  • Positive attitude with the capability to work under pressure and deliver on multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
