Purpose of NET team
• Ensure our Temasek Portfolio Companies (TPCs) are guided and led by competent, capable, and well-constructed boards - so as to navigate challenging and complex operating environments, and achieve strategic and business objectives.
• Enable the start-up of our Platforms and Venture Companies with appropriate governance setup and executive/ non-executive resources, especially in the initial stages of growth.
• Identify, track, build and engage with an extended talent network to support the requirements of our broader Temasek ecosystem of portfolio companies, platforms and venture companies.
• Track and support the adoption of best corporate governance and board practices by our TPCs, platforms and venture companies, as part of Temasek's ongoing investment stewardship activities.

Main Responsibilities
As a key member of the NET team, the Associate will work closely with the team and be directly responsible for the following:-
• Building up and maintaining our talent/ knowledge management system containing profiles of non-executive/ senior executive talents across a wide-ranging pool of board, advisory and operating roles.
• Support the analysis and recommendation of potential board members, advisors or senior executive candidates for our ecosystem of portfolio, platform and venture companies, as appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate the organisation of engagement forums and networking sessions with board members, advisors and/or senior executives of our portfolio companies.
• Support the planning and organisation of overseas networking trips by our Temasek Chairman and Board Members.
• Develop understanding of our core portfolio companies; corporate governance and ESG principles as well as good board practices
• Track the team budget for expenses incurred in our engagement, networking and/or governance events and activities.

Qualifications/Capabilities
• At least a good basic degree from a recognized institution.
• Min. 1-2 years of relevant work experience in HR resourcing function, executive search industry and/or in a research capacity;
• Good IT skills and conversant with the use of search engines and databases;
• Good language skills, both written and spoken.
• Good analytical skills, details oriented and demonstrated initiative and persistence in probing and researching information.
• Meticulous and diligent in maintaining and updating our talent databases on a timely basis.
• Strong co-ordination and organisation skills.
