The Manager, FIG Credit Asia is critical to making this happen and will be responsible for the assessment and approval of the credit risk exposure relating to ANZ's Asian Financial Institutions customers.
  • The person in this role is to engage with the FIG and Markets business and the global FIG Credit team to:
  • Ensure transactions are duly risk assessed for consideration in a timely & globally consistent manner.
  • Undertake portfolio management, risk analytics & reporting as required.
  • Support the execution of the Financial Institutions Group's business strategy in the Asian region within the agreed risk appetite parameters.
  • Work with business partners to identify regulatory and industry trends, and proactively manage emerging risks.
  • Prescribe and approve credit terms in the legal documents.
  • Support initiatives to simplify and standardise financial risk practices and redesign processes to improve the way we manage risk across ANZ.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Tertiary qualification is preferred
  • Strong credit risk experience, including exposure to a broad range of FIG counterparty types, industries and complex transactions. Good knowledge of Asian FIG counterparties especially in South East Asia.
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating decisiveness and mastery of FIG customers risk features.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and respectfully with a wide variety of people, including customers and internal stakeholders across cultures, geographies and technical segments (e.g. legal, middle office, front office, sales, RMs).
  • Ability to engage with senior business and risk executives with clear and concise articulation of risk issues and recommendations.
  • Strong FIG products knowledge: Solid understanding of derivatives, trade and loan products.
  • Extensive interaction with support functions and business partners to understand their business strategies and needs as well as to convey credit decisions, requirements and approval conditions.
  • Previous working experience within a global financial institution and dealing with cross border transactions would be advantageous.
