About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and work with respective stakeholders in production issues trouble shooting and problem resolution
  • Manage communication for Incidents (SLA breaches, Application Major Incidents, Logistics issue) and responsible for communications within team, User and IT partner
  • Manage and support system operation activities eg. infra/OS patch maintenance, key/certificate renewal, industry wide exercise, DR/BCP etc.
  • Perform regular system capacity planning & batch trending analysis to ensure and upkeep system hygiene and cater for organic growth and biz expansion
  • Assess operational readiness of new products / applications / flows for on-boarding to L2 production support
  • Identify and prioritize area of service improvement to increase overall IT service delivery quality to business / customer
  • Work with Application Delivery team to drive improvement and best practice are incorporated into new deliveries
  • Work with CAB (Change Review Board) to drive non-functional requirements into change process
  • Review and perform application continuous service improvement on system capacity, stability, reliability and resiliency with respective stakeholders
  • Contribute in effective knowledge management / best practices within team and organization
  • Good track record of improving capabilities of an organization through leadership

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience working in IT industry with 6-8 years of experience in Technology solutions or support service delivery in the banking industry. Domain knowledge in Card products and operations (eg. Cardlink, VisionPlus, etc.) are crucial.
  • Strong L2 / L3 production support experience in a high availability / mission critical environment
  • Experience in managing communications across business and technology stakeholders at varying levels across a medium to large scale enterprise
  • Prior experience in large scale enterprise application development, capacity planning, optimization, re-engineering, and performance fine tuning and cost optimization
  • Able to work with sense of urgency under multiple deadlines and successfully organize and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Flexible and able to coordinate team effectively both in and outside of office hours.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL methodology
  • Knowledge on core banking products is plus point

Essential Technical Skill:
  • 5-8 years' experience with Mainframe JCL/COBOL system development. AS400 RPG/Cobol and Unix/Linus shell scripts experience will be added advantage
  • Experience writing scripts, database queries, generating capacity and performance reports
  • Change Management / Problem Management / Capacity and performance management
  • Good understanding of resiliency and redundancy designs
  • Interfaces and Messaging systems
  • Experience with Connect Direct, Control-M, Aldon, Splunk, Geneos tooling (added advantage)

  • Ability to foster a proactive team environment focused on technical remediation / improvement of Production Environments
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with little supervision and ensuring the detail is of high priority
  • Self-motivating and delivery focused individual
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills and able to see end-to-end for impact assessment and resourceful in provide solution
  • Good discipline in adhering and applying established methodology and guideline while also being process oriented
  • Proven ability to communicate and develop long lasting relationships with all levels of Management in a clear and concise manner
