About the Department
The Audit function is an independent internal audit team that provides objective assurance and consulting to improve and add value to the Group's operations. We help the Group achieve its strategic objectives by adopting a systematic and disciplined approach towards evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead or participate in audit projects and be responsible for the business, operational and regulatory audit for International Branches & Group Risk Management.
  • Conduct credit file review for identifying existing and emerging risks relating to credit quality and management of credit risk, assess the appropriateness of counterparty risk rating and the credit administration and operation processes, mainly for International Branches.
  • Link in the reviews with specific aspects of AML/CFT & Sanctions and trade finance and treasury products.
  • Plan, organize, execute and conclude on internal audits including the preparation of an audit plan, audit report, and perform the quality review of auditing standards of the team and make recommendations to improve the audit processes and work paper documentation.
  • Prepare concise summarized reports and management papers for the Audit Committees and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in digital projects which promote data-driven operating model and audit process.


Job Requirements
  • Recognized university degree, with minimum 8 years of relevant audit experience in financial institutions from the banking industry.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CFA or CPA will be advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of corporate credit lending, credit management and remedial processes covering front office, middle office and back office functions as well as familiarity with laws and regulations governing the businesses.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well versed in assessing business risks and controls, to recommend business-focused solutions to improve risk management practices.
  • Able to multitask and cope with change and diversity in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong project management skills to lead audit assignments
  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Good data analysis skill; ability to analyse business data utilizing automated tools would be an advantage
  • Traveling overseas (approximately 25%) for job assignments is required for this position.
