Role Responsibilities
A seasoned professional sound and excellent experience across Funds and Fiduciary and Investment Banking Operations, who is looking to collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders to deliver products that play an important role in Operations' day-to-day business. Lead the team at the forefront of this growth and transformation journey leveraging digital tools (e.g. UiPath, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.). The successful candidate will support Securities Operations Transformation Agenda, collaborating with global and regional business stakeholders to deliver against our roadmap.
Strategy
  • Lead high priority, cross-Operations initiatives, addressing key strategic issues and functional architecture in close partnership with Operations and Technology, with a focus on shaping and implementing operation's global technology strategy to meet business goals.
  • Drive implementation of the digital solutions agenda (Intelligent Automation, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence) across the Business and Operations, with ongoing partnership with multiple parties across the organization, clients and the wider industry.
Processes
  • Deliver the digital strategy for Operations that supports the globally consistent strategy in developing for scale, whilst accounting for country nuances.
  • Be a strong people influencer and product owner, to deliver proof of concepts and execute on incubation ideas, that will span across lines of businesses and locations, while ensuring adherence to governance and controls.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and industry forums to resolve challenges and share best practices.
  • Develop plans to effectively increase awareness of digital culture across Operations.
  • Define and drive training programs to upgrade the knowledge and capability of Operations staff in digital automation.
  • Provide support for priority cross-operations strategic initiatives, including analysis, business requirements, stakeholder management communications and initiative execution.
  • Support all phases of major initiative development from concept through tangible deliverables.
  • Partner with Operations business units to assess and streamline processes in order to mitigate risk or control issues and generate efficiencies.
  • Measure outcomes on Change initiatives/ program post-implementation to evaluate benefits.
Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to risk management framework.
Governance
  • Aligning with new Ways of Working Management Standards (nWOWS).
  • Oversee & track implementation timelines, resolve impediments / blockers, ensure change communication & transition.
  • Very good understanding of change management and project management.
  • Keeping project team well informed of the design and execution dependencies within the programme and outside the programme.
  • Identify, analyse, prepare risk mitigation tactics and manage anticipated resistances.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
  • Any Bachelor/ Master's Degree from a recognized University.
  • 10+ years of experience in Fund Services/ Product Management/ Data Management.
  • Experienced in Product expertise under both technology and subject matter business expertise
  • Excellent knowledge in Fund Services and Data Management across various business units.
  • Understanding of the Custody and Fund Services operating model preferred.
  • Sound experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in Leading technology driven Projects for Funds and data management.
  • Good knowledge in Product relevant/ related to Technology and Innovation.
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with an ability to apply project management skills to build relationships with technical and business stakeholders across multiple Business Units.
  • Should have sound problem-solving and decision-making skills to proactively identify opportunities and drive results.
  • Should have wide knowledge in various business segments and product areas.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills since the role requires leading change management with senior leaders across the organization.
  • Experience in articulating incubation and proof of concept ideas that demonstrate value, taking through to execution.
  • Proven organizational leadership capabilities with a strong emphasis on engagement, client satisfaction, culture, risk, and governance.
  • Good strategic thinking in identifying solutions and selecting the best combination of practices.
  • Proven ability to perform under a high pressure and dynamic environment.
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusivity of thought, excellence in execution, and an attention to detail across all you do.

Role Specific Technical Competencies
