The Manager, APAC Investment Operations will manage, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of the APAC Investment Operations team for Parametric Portfolio Associates, LLC. This team is responsible for supporting the Australian and APAC activity related to Parametric's growing equity, separately managed account (SMA) and institutional business. Functions may include corporate action processing, trade settlements, portfolio reconciliation, data management tasks, and other areas as defined to support the business.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and supervisory skills and an extensive knowledge of corporate action, trade settlement, and portfolio reconciliation processes. The Manager, APAC Investment Operations will directly lead a team of one to five associates, doing so as a hands-on manager with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, provide excellent customer service, and motivate staff
  • Responsible for communication and coordination between the Singapore office and other locations, primarily Seattle based executive leadership including coordinating goals and feedback from the Singapore office to Seattle headquarters
  • Potentially act as a "location lead" for other Parametric teams that may have resources in the same location
  • Ensures that the department is adequately staffed on a day-to-day basis, and that all employees are trained, and cross-trained, as needed
  • May be asked to represent the department to executive leadership, key stakeholders, and clients. This role will serve as a key contact for operations teams in other locations, sales and product teams, portfolio management, client service and technology areas
  • Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations in the department more efficient/effective
  • Continuously monitoring processes to ensure the department is current with changes in the industry
  • Performs wide array of developmental functions, including interviewing, performance appraisals, development planning, and corrective action/termination
  • Manages and drives execution of large- and small-scale department projects and initiatives including technology components
  • Point of escalation for internal and external clients
  • Manages and identifies challenge areas and creates and executes plans for improvement
  • Resolves issues quickly with a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to prioritize initiatives and staff workloads during times of peak activity
  • Must thrive in managing multiple projects, deadlines, client inquiries, etc. in a fast-paced environment
  • May be required to work early shifts periodically to overlap with Seattle, and from time to time ensure coverage during local holidays as markets require
