You will partner with the client-facing teams to ensure all client records are compliant with Anti- Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) regulatory standards in a timely fashion. In addition, you will own the end to end operational KYC activities (such as periodic renewals) of all clients and validate to ensure that all documentation provided are of the highest quality. You will review the collection and verification of data performed to ensure all KYC records are accurate and complete prior to a final review by the client-facing team. You are expected to stay current with all regulatory changes and requirements around client KYC, Suitability and Documentation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Exhibit the highest standards of customer service with clear transparent communication to the banker articulating on-boarding requirement and time commitments
  • Single point of contact to appropriately route all queries for responsible cases, including issues around PEP, screening, regulatory, compliance, legal, operational risk
  • Analyze AML risks associated with the client from a technical perspective, identify and escalate potential risks and operational issues as appropriate
  • Understand the firm's KYC requirements when completing documentation inclusive of Customer Identification Program (CIP), Minimum Due Diligence (MDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Local Due Diligence (LDD), Specialized Due Diligence (SpDD) and Product Due Diligence requirements (PDD)
  • Build strong engagement with Middle office and be part of KYC/AML interactions to complete cases as per the timeline
  • Ability to comprehend the KYC risk factors and draft the overall risk summary for the client
  • Make decisions that are effective and well-grounded based on guidelines, policies, and insights
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
  • At least 4 years of KYC or related experience, with strong understanding of KYC, AML and regulatory requirements (i.e. HKMA and MAS)
  • Candidate must have experience covering either Corporate, Banks, Trusts, Funds, NBFIs, NOAHs, Regulated Pension clients
  • We are a global company whose primary business language is English and hence, fluency in English (written and verbal) is required
  • Must be able to work and contribute effectively under fast-paced environment with strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Outstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders at one time. Also able to multi-task and meet deadlines against a high-volume work schedule
  • Strong research, analytical and comprehension skills, with ability to analyze large amounts of data.
  • Client focused with strong customer service skills and experience adhering to controls and compliance standards
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • KYC experience within the Asset Wealth Management sector or Commercial or Investment Banking Sector with
  • Detail-oriented and analytical; Able to perform gap analyses of requirements and documentation, and draft a communication for the client-facing team to send the client regarding any additional information needed to complete due diligence reviews.
  • Ability to grasp/learn concepts, procedures and accept feedback, and use it to build deeper knowledge of processes and client relationships through strong partnership with the client-facing team
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced production environment
  • Fluency in written/spoken Mandarin is required as the candidate will be interacting with Chinese clients and reviewing documents in Mandarin
