VP, Citi Global Wealth (CGW) Chief Administrative Office: Risk & Controls - Digital Monitoring Tool

Brief Description of the Organization and Role:

Citi Global Wealth (CGW) is an integration of Citi Private Bank and the Consumer Wealth organization into a single platform enabling Citi to serve its clients across the wealth spectrum and capitalize on Citi's industry leading capabilities to support the goal of CGW, which is to be the leading wealth management provider globally. As we embark on this journey, it is imperative to have a strong Risk & Control framework, supporting this goal through an independent but integral Internal Control organization.

The Digital Monitoring Tools (DMT) Program is a strategic aspect of CGW risk and controls, and it helps the business self-identify material issues and address it before the risks materialize into incidents, losses, customer impact, reputational risk, or audit and regulatory issues.

As an integral team member of the Digital Monitoring Team, you will support the Global Head in the development and implementation of the DMTs lifecycle including quality assurance and advisory for the various product areas.

You will also partner with the Global, Regional and Country Decision Management DMTs resources and Country DMT Coordinators in matters relating to DMTs for various products. The individual will also work with the Product and Channel Owners and SMEs, and partner with Second Line of Defense functions (e.g. ORM, Compliance, Legal, etc) and Internal Audit as the Third Line of Defense to drive the implementation of DMTs and to collaborate on tools and technologies being developed by the Second and Third Lines of Defense.

This role is at C13 level and will report to the Global Head of Digital Monitoring Tools.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with various CGW business stakeholders across the globe and understanding triggers associated with the new DMT requests including new product launches, regulatory exams, regulatory policies etc.
• Proactively reviewing the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) - Activities, Risks, Controls and Monitoring (ARCMs) with respective Assessment Units / Business functions to understand how the manual controls monitoring is performed and opportunities to automate them through DMTs
• Act as subject matter expert and own the development and implementation of DMTs and actively participate in the DMT lifecycle processes including identification, prioritization, rule definition, outlier review, disposition, and change management
• Closely work with Analytics and Information Management (AIM) leads and analysts, who convert the DMT rules into working code. Good prioritization and project management skills is a must have.
• Closely work with Country DMT coordinator / DMT requestor in completing business validation on time
• Ensuring robust quality of deliverables from AIM team which significantly reduces future change management requests
• Review DMT change management requests on daily basis, work with AIM on prioritization and quick delivery
• Development of strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience with proven track record in financial services covering controls, data analytics, and/or reengineering through digitization
• Advanced understanding of Citi's wealth product offerings (Example: Investments, Cards & Mortgage etc.) including risks and controls
• Good understanding of CGW Business functions / products and underlying data structure / tables / data elements is a big plus point
• General understanding of the regulatory landscape across Asia/EMEA
• Experience in leading teams and conducting internal controls review, fraud reviews etc
• Understanding of data privacy concerns in Asia/EMEA countries, cross-border data analytics including PII data analysis, and remediation
• Ability to work with and advise Data Analytics and Product / Channel teams in DMTs outlier analysis and dispositioning
• Strong Project Management and task prioritization skills
• Fully conversant in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• International work experience
• Self-motivated, highly adaptive, and able to work well under high stress
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skill in senior management interaction & engagement, influencing business decision through adoption of analytics solution
• Ability to negotiate with and influence Regional Line of Business Leaders, and In-Country Program Teams to achieve results that will impact the Regional Consumer business significantly
• Ability to manage, develop and motivate virtual teams, and delivering results both as an individual and through virtual teams
• Ability to motivate and influence business partners to deliver on milestones and commitments
• Strong partnering and negotiating skills and experience in interacting with senior management

Education:

• At least a Bachelors degree with a strong academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk, Data Analytics, or Computer Science; preference for a Master Degree
