The Product Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the insurance business and be responsible for the insurance revenue to contribute towards overall wealth management products revenue.
  • Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, product development, launches, and marketing of life insurance products
  • Participate in development of client valued propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel and market strategies, and competitive differentiation for the insurance products
  • Identify Insurance product and process gaps and continuously work with insurance providers on competitive analysis and insurance product offers
  • Define and launch new products and sales process, including defining the product/feature, submission processes and launch strategy through the available channels
  • Manage pre and post-implementation activities, develop and improve sales processes
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve business issues related to technology projects with significant business impact as well as share knowledge across product marketing, contributing to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes/workflow for the product marketing function
  • Have strong domain knowledge of life insurance product and processes to effectively participate in technology projects for product and/or process enhancements
  • Manage internal and external insurance partners, engage in negotiations, manage ongoing relationships, prepare and review required due diligence/ agreements
  • Drive continuous product and roadmap improvements new project features and deliveries required to address changing customer needs
  • Actively manage the day-to-day servicing and processing activities to ensure that the staff is delivering a high level of service and complying with corporate and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Establish effective working relationships with operational and technology partners to jointly identify and resolve on-going issues.
  • Manage and execute client transactions with respect life insurance products. Ensure transactions are completed within audit and compliance standards as well as timely.
  • Help drive innovation and lead in digital transformation as well as sales process enhancements.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on product customization projects and influence decisions through advice, counsel, and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization
  • Assume informal leadership/mentor role within teams and conduct coaching/training of fellow team members
  • Work closely with IT/Ops team to resolve project, implementation and case management issues
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years or relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of different systems, theories, and practices relevant to a function
  • Practical experience of multiple business cycles
  • Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services
  • Working knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the business as well as a solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated project management skills
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
