Role Responsibilities
  • The Lead, HR Portfolio Financials is responsible for managing financials, benefits and headcount reporting for the HR Investment Portfolio.
  • This role challenges and validates the financial plans and business cases for Refinement Forums and Programmes within HR and ensures financial management within HR Investment complies with Group Accounting Policy.
  • Responsible for both overseeing operational financial processes in the HR Investment Portfolio and shaping the strategic financial narrative.
Strategy
  • Produce financial inputs to strategic papers such as Management Business Reviews and Board updates.
  • Support strategic planning for the HR Investment Portfolio, including multiyear financial and benefit plans.
  • Responsible for HR Investment input to Corporate Plan budgeting cycle (Target Setting, Corporate Plan, Budget Restatements) for both Opex and Amortisation.
Processes
  • Run monthly financial and headcount reviews of Refinement Forum performance, to validate and challenge their financial reporting.
  • Responsible for month-end operational financial processes including uploading costs to the project management system, reviewing GBS recharges, updating headcount reporting (including forward-looking forecasts) and posting manual journals.
  • Model FY allocation and Quarterly budget distribution to Refinement Forums to support HR's strategic ambitions.
  • Coordinate country recharge reviews to provide transparency to Country Heads of HR on their HR Investment recharges.
  • Manage the Positions Management approvals for the HR Function, providing appropriate challenge over new and backfill positions requests and required approvals from Head of HR for HR and HR COO.
People & Talent
  • Support financial education and training of Project Managers, Programme Managers and PMOs to ensure appropriate financial knowledge for decision making.
Risk Management
  • Monitor all HR Investment financial transactions to ensure they comply with Group Accounting Policy (balance sheet substantiation, capitalisation, amortisation, etc).
Governance
  • Produce HR Investment financial reporting for the HR Quarterly Performance Review forum (QPR) and ad hoc reporting for other stakeholders as required such as the HR Management Team.
  • Monitor and report financial benefits to HR QPR and ensure sufficient data for HR CFO reviews, including any attestations.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years of experience working in an Investment Portfolio or Progamme, with ownership for financial management or significant handson Finance experience. Experience in Human Resources and in the financial industry preferable.
  • A Finance or Accounting professional qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, etc.) would be preferred
  • Have worked in an international, dynamic organisation
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking, with operational detail where required to assure quality and problem solve
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to adapt to different styles according to target audience.
  • Demonstrated competency in decision making and problem solving; resource management; conflict management; and planning, prioritising.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong understanding of complex programmes financials and financial processes
  • Understanding of PMO and project processes and requirements preferred
  • Advanced MS Office Suite Skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders, internal resources and 3rd parties
