JOB SUMMARY
Think client, do the right thing. To investigate, analyse and report any exceptional findings owing to concerns arising from various monitoring activities. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Governance
  • Able to work independently, but also be an effective team player. Conduct thorough analysis and ongoing monitoring of sub-advised investment funds, including performance evaluation, risk assessment, and portfolio attribution analysis.
  • Assist in the selection and due diligence process for potential new sub-advisors, including evaluating investment strategies, investment process, performance track record, team structure, and compliance and operational risk management
People & Talent
  • Able to demonstrate initiative. Enjoy problem-solving and able to think out of the box, delivering client-centric solutions and building strong stakeholder relationships. Diligent, meticulous, well organized and willing to take on ad-hoc tasks delegated. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, and competitive landscape related to sub-advisory services.
Risk Management
Role Responsibilities
  • Responsible for sourcing and identifying potential investment strategies to support the development and growth of our sub-advisor proposition across asset classes
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in portfolio analysis, risk assessment, and performance evaluation to deliver high quality written assessments based on quantitative and qualitative analysis to assist selection and due diligence process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to manage and develop internally and externally approved collaterals
  • Provide product training to both distribution and frontline staff

  • Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fund/ Investment Analyst with an entrepreneurial attitude to support the development and growth of our sub-advisor proposition. Enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment and able to meet tight deadlines.

  • Live with integrity while performing due diligence and performance monitoring. Meet all governance and regulatory reporting requirements. Prepare regular reports and presentations to committees, internal and external stakeholders and clients.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key stakeholders
  • Global Managed Investment Teams, Investment Advisory Teams, Front Office staff, CIO Office, Discretionary Portfolio Team, Sustainable Investment Team.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 4 + years of experience in investment analysis, due diligence, and/or portfolio management, preferably with a focus on sub-advised funds.
  • Good knowledge of global equity and/or fixed income markets.
  • Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills.
  • Experienced user of mutual fund databases (Morningstar/Bloomberg) would be an added advantage.
  • Relevant skills/experience as a product manager.
  • Professional - Product Knowledge, Product Launch, Operational Knowledge and Governance.
  • Mandarin or Cantonese language would be advantageous as the scope of the role will be to work on clients from predominantly in the North Asia-based market.
