We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst.

Principal Responsibilities

Act as the interface between the Avaloq Tech organisation and the Asian booking centres, for:
  • Speaks as the 'one voice of the customer', bridging the gap between the business and IT
  • Communicates the vision of the market, customer and product and directs the team to best achieve business value
  • Provides team with business domain expertise
  • Works with the Agile teams to break epics down into user stories, and works with Technical Product Manager to allocate them to the most appropriate pod
  • Reviews epics and user stories to ensure they align to the product vision, challenging where necessary
  • Determine business suitability of proposed requirements with architect, developers and other relevant team members and provide recommendations
  • Validate proposed solutions with business representatives and technical team to ensure solutions and restrictions are clearly understood
  • Define and document solutions and changes producing comprehensive documents supported by structured analysis techniques and methodologies
  • Channel local Avaloq needs (system issues and gaps) to the most appropriate forums where such needs are translated to possible solutions and/or prioritized for implementation.
  • Assess impact of upcoming Avaloq releases to local business processes and mobilise relevant business stakeholders for awareness and preparation
  • Conduct appropriate testing for aspects of the release that impact a local business process; risk-based level of regression testing for other process areas
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the various business areas in the booking centre
  • Assist the business in getting the most out of existing core system capabilities (esp. Avaloq)
  • Identify opportunities to enhance integration of Avaloq with surrounding systems
  • At least 5 years of experience on business processes in Private Banking - in a multi-divisional setting being a significant advantage
  • At least 5 years of Avaloq working experience
  • Excellent problem solving / analysis skills to assist in addressing business needs
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss, and explain issues coherently and logically, both in writing and verbally
  • Proven experience with Agile ways of working (sprints, Jira workflows etc.)
  • Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritization and a pragmatic approach
