Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Global Liquidity Sales, Southeast Asia.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Assisting in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers
  • Work closely with APAC investment specialist team on new product launches and conducting demand assessment for target client segments.
  • Assisting in the communication of new products, propositions, and relevant market information to customers
  • Proactively identifying sales opportunities and develop these opportunities in liquidity solutions and low-duration fixed income strategies
  • Supporting distribution channel business development strategies and work closely with institutional sales team in coverage of key institutional clients for liquidity
  • Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones, in order to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship mangers and product specialists, to maximize cross-selling opportunities for the bank
  • Participating in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities
  • Protecting the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant asset management experience
  • Proven track record in sales/business development, institutional sales expansion
  • Prior coverage of corporate/FIG sectors in a sales or client-facing role
  • Ability and willingness to develop technical knowledge in short-term investment solutions
  • Excellent presentation skills, relationship management and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Drive and determination to be successful and achieve the ambitious growth targets
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
