Position Purpose
1. Establish Department as a keen business partner and play a contributory role to the Bank's business strategy.
2. Formulate and oversee the development of critical business risk related strategy/policies with a balanced orientation towards business growth, managed risk, efficiency, enhance productivity and quality service.
3. To identify, evaluate, monitor, report and control/mitigate risks and to properly document risk management strategies, policies and procedures
Responsibilities
Candidate will assist the Head of Governance & Advisory, WM APAC Conduct and Control to ensure the existence of a risk-based, sustainable and efficient framework surrounding Operational and Business risks, in collaboration with the Business of WM in APAC. This role sits within the first line of defense (1 LoD).

1. Cross Border
- Coordinate opinions / feedback from internal stakeholders (Compliance, Legal etc.) and external service providers/lawyers on cross border country manuals, topics and queries
- Management of Cross-border Certification and access management to country manuals.
- Preparation of monthly / quarterly reports to be presented in Cross-border Committee meeting - ensure that the report preparation process is efficient, data integrity is maintained and reports are issued on a timely basis
- Lead and coordinate implementation and updates on relevant cross border related policies
- Implementation and monitoring of controls and remediation plans
- Provide advisory support to FO and relevant stakeholders related to cross border topics
- Perform pre-trade Client Suitability Assessment for PE Funds.
- Based on assessment, assist FO to carry out necessary actions for proper rectification with clients (E.g. mismatch handling).
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Strong understanding of risk control framework and operational risk management
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to manage / facilitate a meeting, seminar, committee, training
- Attention to details with good communication skills both written and orally.
- At least 7 years working experience in the Compliance/Control/ Risk area.
- Ability to manage large set of data for analysis and performance indicators
- Excellent in stakeholder management as this is a business advisory role which requires engagement with Market Heads and Senior Management
