Responsibilities
  • Product Related
    • Management of FI and Corporate Risk Distribution activities and processes
  • Execution
    • Support Transactors/relevant stakeholders in managing of trade risk distribution/purchase process to improve workflow.
    • Work with internal partners to identify product gaps, system enhancements, process improvements and implement initiatives.
    • Identify revenue and volume growth opportunities from existing customer base through engagement of RMs/sales/ product Heads. Assist in resolving ad-hoc capital and credit limits issues for large value transactions.
    • Conduct training and info sharing sessions with the Sales/RMs around the bank network to ensure continuous reinforcement of TAM capabilities
    • Overall trade portfolio Credit, Capital and RWA optimisation
    • Enhance our capability to meet customers' business trade financing requirements, thus preventing customers from channelling transactions to competitors
  • MIS support, digitisation initiatives & other project
    • Support all relevant MIS needs and digitization initiative & other projects.
  • Primary duties :
    • Corporate Risk Distribution (CRD)
      • Work with the various DBS locations on workflow process in intragroup sell down and purchases for corporate transaction;
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors and working closely with FIG;
      • Maintain strong working relationship with Sales, RMs and Product and operationalising the purchase and selldown;
      • Provide inputs into the Bank's trade business and credit growth strategy, capital planning and allocation;
      • Formulate and implement approaches to optimize returns on capital across trade finance portfolio through purchase and selldown for Corporate risks;
      • Responsible for new product approval (NPA) process for trade risk participation as well as working with local locations;
      • Review of Master Risk Participation Agreements or other forms of transactional Participation Agreement, working closely with legal counterparts (internal and external) and the Trade Credit Insurance team;
      • Standardise procedures and processes and implement systems as part of GTS or bank-wide strategy to capture incremental benefits arising from distribution activities (revenue, capital, limits);
      • Engage regulators and industry associations as required keeping up with developments. To keep abreast with latest updates and to assess impacts (if any) and implement strategies to mitigate risks from these regulatory/industry developments and implement strategies to mitigate risks;
    • Financial Institution (FI)
      • Handle all queries from investors banks and implement distribution channels and programs for bilateral sell-downs, funded/unfunded risk participation etc.
      • Review and update the Master Risk Participation agreements or other forms of risk participations ;
      • Monitor all matters relating to FI risk participation. Major duties include managing of preparing the Offer and Acceptances, amendments, discharge and fee payments.
      • Provide support on all MIS requirements.
Requirements
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience
  • Non-technical Experience
    • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks or project;
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Technical Experience
    • Good networking abilities;
    • Awareness of distribution market;
    • Strong knowledge in credit risks and related capital adequacy requirements;
    • Proficient in risk concepts, trade products, operations, pertinent regulatory requirements;
    • Strong legal understanding and in relation to Participation Agreements in the Distribution Market;
