Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Operations
AWM Operations are responsible for front-to-back operational support to the Goldman Sachs Asset Management business in service, delivery, and processing functions across the trade, client, and product lifecycle. As a part of the Asset & Wealth Management business, Goldman Sachs Asset Management provides global investment opportunities to a substantial and diversified client base including institutions, governments, and high net worth individuals. Critical to the success of the firm is our ability to leverage a global team of talented professionals to define solutions and lead change across the operational infrastructure. AWM Operations is based in 13 locations across the globe.
Change Management & Business Intelligence
The Change Management team is a centralized department of change agents focused on the design, execution and delivery of key initiatives that support the change agenda for the Asset & Wealth Management Division. Our global team combines deep industry and domain expertise with strong institutional knowledge. In Asia, the team is focused on designing the implementation strategy and driving the establishment of new AWM businesses to execute on the firm's China growth strategy. In addition, they drive front-to-back organizational and target operating model designs for APAC AWM businesses & firmwide integrations.
Responsibilities
• Lead complex and high-priority workstreams and manage sponsors and stakeholders with competing priorities, resourcing levels and time constraints across all typical project phases:
• Project scoping, including definition of plans and setting and managing realistic expectations for successful delivery with project stakeholders
• Business analysis and requirements definition
• Testing and implementation, in particular user acceptance testing
• Take ownership of projects and initiatives, carefully managing scope, schedule, risks, issues, decisions, interdependencies and interim milestones
• Team-oriented and consensus driven with an ability to work in a high pressure environment
• Ongoing project management and quality assurance throughout the project
• Build and manage relationships with key project stakeholders in Operations, Engineering and Business
• Assess and streamline Operations' processes in order to mitigate risk or control issues and generate efficiencies
• Provide support and advice to Operations management and project teams on project management tools and methods
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 3 years of professional experience
• 3 years of project management experience
• Experience in management consulting or the financial services industry - preferred
• Strong technical skills used to identify issues, track risks and provide periodic status updates
• Great organization skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and make decisions as required
• Excellent analytical skills and willing to challenge assumptions
• Capable of working with different levels of seniority on multiple products, regions and functions
• Ability to influence key stakeholders outside their direct control and hold them accountable to deliver
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strategic thinker that sees the big picture and aligns with business priorities
• Demonstrates an understanding of operations processes and procedures and an ability to learn quickly
• Exposure to Asset Management, QDLP, WFOE, FMC businesses in the financial services industry - preferred
• Experience with Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence and/or Sharepoint- preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
