Start your career with Bank of Singapore as a Business Manager - Product Management Group!

This is a role within the Global Product Management Group (PMG) of BOS. Reporting to the PMG Head of Business Management, your key focus would be on management support activities including financial analysis, business and operating analysis & planning, strategic projects management, business support, administrative and other management support activities. The role requires strong aptitude in understanding the business, ability to analyse issues and shape solutions, collaborate and influence to achieve objectives and deliver practical results.

The focus will be on business management for the PMG Management Office (PMO). Ideally, the candidate has previous exposure and/or experience in change management as well as exposure to wealth management products and business processes . A business consulting background and/or a n interest and experience in structured issue-based solutioning, analyzing and interpreting data using tools such as Tableau, Qlikview or Power BI would be a distinct advantage.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, support, facilitate and/or execute PMG/PMO's strategy and work plans, including tracking of initiatives, resolution actions, of expenses, hires, recruitment, KPI, product performance, management reporting etc.
  • Support management with analysis, presentations and other messaging collaterals
  • Secretariat for selected management meetings and responsible for managing the tracking and closure of deliverables.
  • Represent PMG/PMO in related departmental meetings within Bank of Singapore.
  • Provide guidelines and streamline processes across Bank/PMG/PMO as needed.
  • Coordinate and follow up on administrative activities related to general services (e.g. vendor management for PMG/PMO including invoice review & obtaining approvals; facilities planning, coordinating moves, BCP exercises etc.). Initiate tactical improvements to existing practices where required. Support PMO's audit exercises as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Policies and Standards by driving a regular review of control results with the Department Manager & Team Leads and propose corrective actions where required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors / Master's degree (preferable) degree from a reputable university
  • Demonstrable experience in working directly with Senior Management in a business management, risk and governance and/or change management (both business initiatives and technology projects) capacity within Private Banking
  • Experience in project-managing and delivering cross-functional projects to expected quality, budget and time.
  • Knowledge and experience of the wealth management / private banking industry
  • Understanding of Front Office controls, risk policies, procedures and requirements for wealth management / private banking in the context of the Singapore and Hong Kong regulations
  • Meticulous, focused and a demonstrated ability to work independently under time pressure, from start to finish.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work as an integral part of a larger team, over multiple, concurrent projects, across a variety of topics.
  • Highly energetic and affirmative, with a positive, influential style even in the face of challenging circumstances
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and other tools (specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience
