Responsibilities:
  • Provide equity market coverage in key markets (ie. US, Europe, HK/China, Japan, Singapore, Australia, ASEAN) and ETFs to Asia - based relationship managers (RMs) and Investment Counsellors (ICs). These include market intelligence/ commentaries, market strategy and stocks update, etc.
  • Pro-actively generate and develop timely trading ideas and stocks / ETFs recommendations to internal/ external clients.
  • Collaborate with CIO team for consistent market & thematic views.
  • Provide sector/ stock update, translate them into actionable investment ideas and work closely with structured products team to express our equity views in flow and non-flow products.
  • Assist RMs in developing equity sector strategies and products to individual clients.
  • Conduct equity portfolio reviews for clients.
  • Contribute to regular equity products, including Market Daily, Top Picks List, High Dividend List, Tactical List, HK/ China Model Portfolio etc.
  • At RM's requests, meet or call clients to enhance client engagements.
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts and work closely with co - coverage analysts with an inclusive mindset.
  • Work under the supervision of Head of Equity Advisory, Asia.
  • Work closely with Global Markets on One-bank initiatives.
Contributing Responsibilities:
  • Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
  • Responsible for the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
  • Responsible for reporting all incidents according to the Incident Management System


Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in the Finance industry; preferably Equity Research, Portfolio Management, or Private Bank
  • Strong knowledge in equity markets; experience in sell-side or buy-side investment research will have an added advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sophistication in Microsoft Office software and Power Point presentation.
  • Excellent fundamental knowledge for the equity market, preferably with multi-industry multi-market coverage experience and performance track record.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Team player with good emotional maturity, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong corporate discipline
